Jon Favreau isn’t Directing Iron Man 3

The director of Iron Man 1 & 2  Jon Favreau isn’t feeling so proud to direct the next adventure of Iron Man3.
He tweeted this Tuesday
“It’s true, I’m directing Magic Kingdom, not Iron Man 3. I’ve had a great run with Marvel and wish them the best.”
I will go with Favreau…yeah what’s the point of making an Iron Man 3?

Vulture Blog Reports:

It’s unclear whether the impasse was financial or creative or both. One informed source hears that he was frustrated with Marvel’s urge to stuff more of their in-house heroes into the next film in the wake of The Avengers. In a recent interview with MTV News, Favreau explained that based on his conversations with Marvel Studios executives, he had no clarity as to what a third Iron Man film would even be about. “In theory, Iron Man 3 is going to be a sequel or continuation of Thor, Hulk, Captain America and Avengers,” said Favreau at the time, “This whole world … I have no idea what it is. I don’t think they do either, from conversations I’ve had with those guys.”

Jon Favreau Explains His Decision to Not Direct ‘Iron Man 3′

Tuesday’s most polarizing piece of news was the fact that Jon Favreau would not be directing Iron Man 3. On his Twitter, Favreau said “It’s true, I’m directing Magic Kingdom, not Iron Man 3. I’ve had a great run with Marvel and wish them the best.”
But Twitter can only say so much. The man behind the first two Iron Man films, Elf, the upcoming Cowboys & Aliens and my favorite movie of all time, Swingers, sat down with the Los Angeles Times to explain in more than 140 characters why he’s leaving Tony Stark behind and what his plans are for Magic Kingdom.

Jon Favreau Will Not Direct Iron Man 3

The poet Robert Browning once wrote that “a man in armor is his armor’s slave.” By that logic, director Jon Favreau is now a free man: Insiders tell Vulture that Favreau has just informed Marvel Studios that he won’t direct a third Iron Man film.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Movie was Great! Saw it twice…gets better every time i see it! Going to see it about 2 more times!
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows scored about $125.1 million on the opening weekend buy sadly could not break the record of Batman and Twilight…
E!-online reports:
Batman’s record is safe. Twilight fans’ bragging rights are safe. And Hogwarts’ finest probably don’t care.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 scored a franchise-best $125.1 million opening weekend, per estimates.
Where does the movie rank among Hollywood’s all-time blockbuster debuts? And what might’ve been in 3-D?

Movie Review:

Director David Yates, who has gotten steadily better at these films since a shaky start on Order of the Phoenix, never lets us forget that we are seeing a world at war, albeit a magical one…and the good guys are losing.

Since this only the first of a two-part larger movie, it isn’t really spoiling to say that they don’t get much closer to victory as yet. With long stretches of actual character development between action sequences, and the pervasive scary and depressing atmosphere, this may not be a film to take younger children to. Not to mention there’s a near-nude imaginary makeout scene which feels inappropriate, though certain fans of the leads have likely been clamoring for it.

But kids who grew up with the books as they came out should be at the right maturity level, and may ultimately come to see the Deathly Hallows as their Empire Strikes Back. And those who criticized perceived plot holes in prior installments may find some of those issues are resolved, as indeed they were intended to be all along.
Sadly, Alan Rickman’s glorious Professor Snape barely says a word this time around. Presumably that will be remedied in Part 2.

Natalie Portman’s chance of Oscar.

Natalie-your higness

All voices praising  Natalie Portman’s starring performance,i ensure that Natalie Portman wins the Best Actress Oscar this year.
Portman is suddenly willing to do more and more skin… Maybe that since she had a baby and destroyed the hottest body on the planet, now she’s looking for reassurance that she’s still attractive…Love her, so sexy and she can act.

Will ‘Your Highness’ ruin James Franco’s Oscar chance?

People are still saying that Franco is a shoo-in for a Lead Actor nomination. Which brings me to a funny point, one that is being made by a lot of people: what happens when you have a less-than-award-worthy film come out during or around the awards season? Does that screw up your chances? The famous example is Eddie Murphy and the Dreamgirls/Norbit problem. Eddie seemed to have the Best Supporting Actor Oscar locked up for Dreamgirls, and then Norbit was released in the heat of the awards season. Suddenly, everyone was like “Eddie’s not Oscar-worthy, for real.”

Natalie Portman Wins

Granted, it’s no “aggressive lesbian hate sex” with ballerinas, Natalie Portman continues to be the only actress who understands acting by stripping down to a thong in her new movie Your Highness. A film about something, starring people who aren’t Natalie Portman’s butt, so why am I even wasting my word juice on this sentence?

James Bond come-back film looms in 12 months

James Bond looms to come back in November next year after all. Even if the MGM filed for bankruptcy and the transfer of ownership was turned down by Lionsgate, the “007” movie series is most likely to continue. There are no words yet if Daniel Craig may possibly be available for the upcoming film. If he is not the one, who could be?

Despite several months where it appeared that 007 would be defeated by the mess that is MGM’s finances, it appears that the return of James Bond is again a likelihood.
